THE JOB
This individual owns maintenance of all things mechanical at Kotis Print Shop. Assists in design planning, prepping, and execution of new work area layouts and makes changes to existing. Troubleshoots solutions for regular and irregular operations of equipment. Operates with autonomy and does constant on the job research in order to solve numerous difficulties with little assistance. Works with Print Shop Manager to prioritize projects to make best shirts and swag ever.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 50% of the job is helping do preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment:
    • automatic screen printing presses
    • sewing machines
    • embroidery machines
    • knitting machines
    • heat presses
    • misc computer setup
    • inkjet printers
    • misc automated production equipment
  • 25% troubleshooting issues that arise with equipment
  • 25% creating new tools and solutions with the Production Director.
 
SCHEDULE
  • 5 days/week (Tuesday - Saturday OR Sunday - Thursday)
  • 8:30am - 5pm
 
REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Additionally, while performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to warm or cold weather. The noise level in the work environment is often loud.
 
  • Lift and/or move up to 50lbs at times
  • Regularly stand for long periods of time while reaching with hands and arms
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend complex written or oral instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
  • Must be comfortable with both hand and power tools. A background or studied interest in varied electrical, pneumatic, robotics, carpentry, 3D printing, etc is needed. Enthusiasm and detective work required.
